Specialized Women’s Rumor Expert Evo

Specialized Women’s Rumor Expert Evo

Specialized Test The Best bike demo is on the road this summer and is setting up at Rabbit Ridge Bike Resort, Gibbston Valley, Queenstown on Sunday 11th January 2015. Here's a look at the women's Specialized Women’s Rumor Expert Evo:

The Specialized Women’s Rumor Expert Evo has versatility written all over it. With a long wheelbase, stable angles, 29” wheels and 120mm of plush travel it’s hard to find a trail out there that you can’t confidently descend. At 12.65kgs and built around Specialized’s FSR suspension platform it’s also hard to find a hill out there which you can’t climb when on board. Skills, of course, make a big difference as well, but these are a lot easier to develop when you’re not compensating for the pros and cons of the bike. Read more from Flows First bite review.

Once the Stumpy 650 was announced earlier this year it became clear a 650b Enduro wasn’t far behind. The 26″ Enduro platform has been a hit since its arrival. It’s the archetype; one of the best examples of a bike that combines excellent downhill performance with capable climbing. Short stays deliver responsive handling and the low bottom bracket helps it rail corners. Add in a slack head angle and you have a light machine that does a fantastic DH bike impersonation. The 29″ version continued that tradition, Specialized managed to keep the stays short (430mm 16.9″) and preserve much of the handling of the small-wheeled version. Find the new you!

Find the new you!

Christmas is a great time of year, but as we all have experienced it can lead to some over indulging. Enter the New Year with a resolution to get outdoors and exercise. We live in one of the most beautiful places in the world with so much to offer for the great outdoors on our doorstep. Getting outdoors is not only an excuse to loose weight but to also exercise for your mind. "When you exercise outdoors, your mind becomes aware of the changing terrain. Whether you use the hills, the sand on a beach, or a winding path, your mind has to focus differently than it would on a flat gym floor”. "Why would you need bottled aromatherapy when you can go outside and smell nature? Outside exercise uses all your senses and connects your body and mind. As you become more physically fit, your mind also becomes more aware. You start to look at life differently. It can be a life-changing experience," says Vindum, 12/9/2009 (www.everydayhealth.com/fitness/outdoor-exercise-benefits.aspx.)
