The brilliant new Whyte Kado has arrived at Outside Sports and it brings with it a ground-up re-imagination of what an eMTB can be. Whyte's vision for this bike is to enable its rider to 'Do Great Things' and so they have poured everything into the Kado range to give you the best handling and ride performance possible – based on an a super-low centre of gravity for "flickable" handling, a completely re-engineered chassis, premium components, and the latest Bosch CX motor.

Confidence-Inspiring Whyte Total Geometry
Whyte's innovative Total Geometry design philosophy means everything on a Whyte bike is engineered to work together seamlessly, for the best ride, every ride. For example, you can drop the already low centre of gravity even more - slackening the geometry by 0.6º and dropping the bottom bracket by 8mm for even more agile 'flickable' handling.
29er and Mullet - All In One Bike
With the ‘Shape. It’ link all Kado bikes are ready to convert to a MX (aka mullet) wheel set-up (29in front, 27.5in rear wheel) so you can tailor your Kado to ride to exactly how you want, without affecting the geometry or suspension kinematics.
More Power For Longer
The Whyte Kado comes with an up to 800Wh* internal battery as standard, with the bonus of compatibility with the Bosch 250Wh‘PowerMore’ range-extender. This plug-in external powerpack is mounted as close to the centre of the crank spindle as possible to keep the centre of gravity low. The extra battery gives you up to 1050Wh of combined capacity for big days out on the trail.
Removable battery
Kado’s internal slide-in/slide-out internal battery makes travel, battery swaps, and off-the-bike charging easy. What’s more without a battery cutout in the downtube Whyte have maximised the frame’s strength and minimised its weight. It also leaves room for a water bottle holder on every frame size - a classic example of Whyte thinking of everything to make your ride better.
Unbeatable Durability and Reliability
There’s no doubt about it, with our unique mixture of rocky trails, water crossings, and everything else you can think of, Southern Lakes trails are very hard on bikes. And that’s why we love Whyte bikes so much at Outside Sports. They are engineering to take everything you can throw at them in conditions ranging from good, bad to absolutely atrocious.
An Armoured Frame
Armoured frame protection on the lower downtube and chainstay guards against rocks and roots to help keep the frame in great shape.
Phosphate-coated, marine grease packed bearings maximise service life through even the worst conditions, and like the frame come with a bullet-proof lifetime warranty for the first owner.
All-Weather Performance
There's a lot of great riding to be done in winter. The Bosch CX motor is waterproof and the battery charge port has with a weather-proof cover and is positioned clear of the rear wheel spray zone. An integrated rear fender keeps the mud and spray from going where it shouldn’t and the cable and hose ports are sealed. And there’s a generous amount of clearance between the seat and chainstays for up to 2.5in tyres to prevent mud build-up slowing you down.
