There are six locations in Queenstown (2), Wanaka (2), Te Anau and Tekapo catering to locals and people visiting from all over the world. 

In Queenstown and Wānaka we have a full range of bikes and winter snow hardware, soft goods and clothing, plus snow and bike rentals supported by state-of-the-art workshop facilities. All stores have a great range of kit for hiking or running on our local trails.  

We consider that we run the best software packages for type of business :- our  Shopify Plus, Lightspeed, Vend, Marsello, and Bike Rental Manager.

Details of the role 

THE ERGONOMICS ROLE : WORK EFFICIENCY AND DEVELOPMENT

• Work process improvement : work on all the process (warranty, online orders, inventory, …) in order to make the company process efficient. Customers and staff’s satisfaction is the heart of your job.

• Workplace display : study and improve the workplace so it is more efficient for every person working in the company.

• You are an open ear and help in any request from the workers in order to improve physic and mental health at work.

 

THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ROLE

• Respond to all customer enquiries via phone, online chats and our platforms;

• Ensure the highest levels of customer service are delivered at all times;

• Give customers a positive experience managing their requests about our products, our services and online orders;

• Enforce Outside Sport’s returns policy in a positive, helpful way;

• Receive any customer complaint with positivity and concern: a complaint handled well will convert the customer into a lifelong partner;

• Ensure the company is always presented in a positive light.

 

THE E-COMMERCE FULFILMENT ROLE

• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

• Efficiently pick items from the store and pack items securely according to packing guidelines and quality standards;

• Verify the accuracy of orders and ensure they are complete before shipment;

• Collaborate with the other branches to fulfil the orders in the fastest and best way;

• Manage the exchange and return requests;

• Use of shipping software to create shipping labels, use of Shopify to fulfil orders;

 

Requirements :

• Degree level in Ergonomic, Work’s Hygiene and Health, or similar
• Preferable (but not mandatory) use of or similar software to mock up the displays of the store 
• Strong proficiency using rental software such BRM
• Strong proficiency using till software such Lightspeed
• Preferable customer service background in your previous work experiences
• Ability to work independently an collaboratively in a fast-paced environment using your own initiative

The hours that you will work in this role will be typically around 40 hours per week. 

Applicants must be flexible with working hours and available to work on weekends as our business is operating 365 days per year. 

You must be able to work in New Zealand legally or hold a current work visa.
