Store Manager

Requirements
We are seeking a passionate, motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead our brand-new Noosa store and establish Outside Sports' first Australian retail presence. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving sales performance, building a high-performing team and maintaining outstanding operational standards throughout the store.
Working closely with our Ecommerce, Purchasing and Marketing teams, you will help deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience, ensure strong inventory management practices and support the successful execution of local and national marketing initiatives. This role requires a proactive leader who can work autonomously while collaborating effectively with colleagues across Australia and New Zealand.
As a fast-growing outdoor retailer, we are looking for someone who is excited by growth, embraces new challenges and is eager to contribute to the continued success of the business. You will have a genuine passion for the outdoors and ideally possess experience using outdoor products across categories such as hiking, camping, trail running, cycling, travel or snow sports.

Experience & Development
- Previous retail leadership or management experience is preferred.
- Experience within outdoor, sporting goods, lifestyle or specialty retail is highly regarded.
- Experience with Shopify POS and related retail technology platforms is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Experience working within an omnichannel retail environment, including supporting online orders and click-and-collect services, is advantageous.

Senior Bike Mechanic, Rental and Retail Salesperson
📍 Location: Queenstown
⏰ Hours: Full-time
$26 – $28 per hour
We are looking for an experienced Bike Mechanic for our large Queenstown Bike operation based in our Shotover Street store in the heart of Queenstown. Ideally, you should also be experienced in being part of a large rental operation with the latest rental software, both over summer, where we rent a wide range of electric and analog bikes from full-on downhill bikes to enduro and hardtail trail bikes, gravel and road bikes and over winter, when we rent a large range of Skis and snowboards and winter clothing.
Requirements
The ideal applicant will have at least 3 years experience working in a bike shop with a strong focus on the technical/mechanical role and operating a world class rental operation. You will also enjoy being on the retail floor and serving our retail customers. We use Shopify POS in our retail operations and having experience with this software would be an advantage.
You will be upholding a high standard of customer bike repairs, maintaining stock levels of repair related products and workshop consumables, and helping to manage the maintenance of a rental fleet consisting of approximately 40 bikes. You should be confident using bike rental software, our company uses Bike Rental Manager software.
You must be comfortable and confident in our workshop environment and be able to provide expertise in the areas of suspension servicing, wheel building and hydraulic brake bleeding, along with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic shifting and drive systems. Extensive knowledge of components and the ability to accurately diagnose problems is key. You’ll also be dealing with customer retail and rental enquiries during the course of your day. Ideally you should also be confident using bike workshop software, our company uses Hubtiger software.
You will be reliable, responsible and organised. This role will require you to work mornings, evenings and weekends. Note that it is a physical role where you will be expected to help out with moving our rental bikes in and out of the store every day and the twice yearly set up and pack down of our Winter Rentals department.
You will speak English to a high standard. You must hold a current work visa and be eligible for employment in New Zealand. Ideally you will have a passion for riding your bike and for getting out into the outdoors.
