Description

The Atomic Shift 10 MN is a tech binding for hiking – then a genuine freeride binding for skiing.

The Atomic Shift 10 MN is the same binding as its bigger brother – with slightly lower DIN options. It’s still the world’s first binding with full touring and freeride capability in one.

It’s a genuine tech binding for hiking complete with pins. Flick the hike/ride switch to ski mode and it turns into a genuine freeride binding for the way down, compatible with all ISO normed boots on the market – alpine and touring.

No need to compromise when you’re touring or skiing the resort– either by hiking with a heavy solution like frames or skiing downhill with pins. You get the best for both. And even better, you can also use it for your alpine skiing days with your normal alpine boot. Finally, one binding for everything!

Features

  • Ski Bindings
  • Automatic Wing Adjustment – Adapts automatically and easily to your boot width and height. It also keeps release values constant for worn out boots.
  • XL Wings – Long wings for a great envelopment of the boots.
  • Toe Height Adjustment – Adjustable toe height to let you switch between different boot norms.
  • Easy Step-In – Less effort needed to step-in and out of bindings.
  • Lateral Elasticity – 47mm
  • Sliding Toe Pedal | Dual Mode Toepiece – MNC (Multi-Norm Certified) for skiing, including WTR soles. Converts to a tech toe for touring (requires a boot with tech toe fittings).
  • Freeski Brakes – Self-retracting brakes for a close position to the heel so they never catch.
  • Hike and Ride Switch – Lever at toe shifts between hike and ski mode.
  • Accessing Toe for Touring – 1. Pull back on block between toe wings to open tech arms. 2. Depress front lever to widen arms to step in. 3. Pull up on lever to lock arms securely for skinning.
  • Preparing Heel for Touring – Pull back on the brake pad and fix the brake in the "up" position by stepping down on the pad.
  • Climbing Aids – 2° & 10°
  • Multi Norm Certified (MNC) – Compatible with all adult boot sole types, including ISO 5355 Alpine, ISO 9523 Touring, WTR (Walk to Ride) and GripWalk.
  • Tech Toe Fittings Required For Use In Uphill (Touring) Mode
  • Requires Boots with Full Heel and Toe Lugs – Not compatible with boots like the Dynafit Hoji Pro Tour and TLT, Atomic Backland, Salomon X-Alp and Arc'teryx Procline, among others. These boots have shortened or non-existent lugs and will not fit into the Shift in downhill mode.
  • Low Profile Chassis – A low stand height improves your feel for the terrain and enhances power transmission to the ski.
  • Oversized Platform – A super-wide platform allows for maximum lateral power transmission, especially for wider skis.
  • +Elastic Travel – Ultimate elastic travel to hold in boots during impact in order to go bigger with no risk of pre-release.
  • Compatible with Salomon S/LAB Shift Crampons
  • Carbon-Infused PA Construction
  • Adjustment Range – 30mm
  • Height – 30mm
  • Unisex
