The Carbon FXP.4 Expedition Vario is an ultralight expedition-ready carbon pole with a Titanal.HF Rocksleeve reinforcement at the lower end of the pole allowing it to be used on high alpine terrain or with crampons or skis. The pole features Komperdell's revolutionary FXP technology that has the pole deploy entirely by itself when released as well as shaving weight. The pole is also comes equipped with the slope-adaptable Ice Flex basket and Ice Flex Tungsten/Carbide tip for alpine adventures.

  • Expedition short grip

  • Padded strap reduces stress on your wrist

  • 4-section pole, folds into 3, made from carbon shafts with a Titanal.HF Rocksleeve reinforcement on the lower shaft

  • Easy-to-use external Powerlock 3.0 adjustment mechanisms (even at extremely low temperatures and wearing gloves - just pop open, adjust length and snap back into place) which are made with high-density anodised aluminium

  • FXP folding mechanism makes the pole 30% lighter, provides a rock solid connection between all segments of the shaft eliminating rattle and best of all, when released, the pole deploys completely on its own
