Description

The Makalu FX Carbon AS supports you on your next mountain tour.

The Antishock version is equipped with a shock absorption system that reduces impact forces, thereby relieving strain on muscles, tendons and joints. The pole, which is adjustable in length, is equipped with the Aergon Air grip. Thanks to special hollow core technology, it combines lightweight construction with large, supportive surfaces that meet all the ergonomic requirements of your hand. The back of the Aergon Air grip is fully rubberised, offering maximum grip and control when walking downhill.

Features
  • Damping System: Dynamic Suspension System - The Dynamic Suspension System is a vibration-absorbing construction made of elastomer material. According to a study by the University of Tübingen, it reduces the impact force by approx. 40%, thereby relieving the musculature, joints, and tendons. This tip is to be used with a basket without exception.
  • Handle - Loop / Glove System: PAS System - PAS grip with loop without integrated glove system
  • Handle: Aergon Air - The Aergon Air combined lightness with stability. Its ergonomic shape provides maximum comfort, while the fully rubber grip head provides absolute control
  • Loop: Skin Strap 5.0 - Individually adjustable strap. It is ultra-light, highly breathable and offers ideal comfort
  • Handle Extension: Grip Extension - Grip extension for simple grip adjustment on steep terrain or when traversing
  • Pipe Material: Carbon - Carbon PRC (Performance Racing Carbon) 1000
  • Folding System: External Locking Device - The ELD System makes it possible to open and close the folding pole quickly with the push of a button. The special construction surrounding the trigger button provides for more stability
  • Adjustment System: Speed Lock 2 Plus - The adjustment system works via an external clamping mechanism which allows for easy adjustments and offers a high holding force
  • Basket: Trekking Basket 2.0 - Compact trekking basket: Prevents sinking into soft ground and can be easily replaced by hand
  • Lace: DSS Tip - Precise pole positioning and an optimal grip on nearly any terrain. This tip should only be used with a basket
  • Storage Bag: Folding Pole Bag - Practical, ultra-light storage bag for the folding poles
